Michael Best announced the addition of Christopher Schreiber who joins the firm as a Partner in the Litigation group in Milwaukee, focusing his practice on the banking and financial services industry sector.
Schreiber brings 15 years of bankruptcy, foreclosure, loan workout, and commercial litigation experience to the firm, and he has extensive experience representing creditors in local and national bankruptcy cases and in Chapter 128 receivership cases in Wisconsin. Schreiber has developed a transactional real estate practice and also represents landlords and tenants in commercial lease disputes. He is proficient in helping Wisconsin-based clients navigate the opportunities and regulatory challenges of the legalized hemp and CBD industry.

In addition to practicing law, Schreiber is on the Board of Directors and is the Lending Advisory Committee Co-Chair for Acts Housing, a local nonprofit which assists families with barriers realize the dream of homeownership. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee.
Schreiber previously served as Chair of the Bankruptcy and Creditors Rights Section and Co-Chair of the Hemp, CBD and Cannabis Section at von Briesen & Roper, s.c. He has been recognized as a Rising Star in Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights by Wisconsin Super Lawyers.
Schreiber received his J.D. from Marquette University Law School and his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Dayton.
