Crestmark announced Troy Myers, vice president, assistant field exam manager, recently became a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), passing the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners CFE exam.
CFE certification is a one year course, ending in an exam that tests knowledge and expertise in the four primary areas of fraud examination: Financial Transactions & Fraud Schemes, Law, Investigation and Fraud Prevention & Deterrence.
Earning his CFE not only helps advance his career through the standard of professional excellence in the anti-fraud profession, but also as a specialist in the prevention and detection of fraud. “We will be better able to catch irregularities in our exams, and put that rare person who may try to perpetuate a fraud on notice,” Myers says.
Myers has been with Crestmark for nine years. He works out of the corporate office in Troy, MI. He joined Crestmark from Bank One, and last year was promoted from senior field examiner to his current position. One of his key responsibilities is training future field examiners. “Training can be seen as a burden to some, but I really like the training aspect,” he notes, adding that he is lucky because “I really love what I do. Half of the battle – and life balance – is to wake up every day and know you love what you do!”
“Troy continues to be a tremendous asset to the Crestmark Field Exam Department, conducting survey exams of prospects as well as being an integral part of the training process,” adds Andy Swanson, first vice president, field exam manager. “The fact that Troy earned his Certified Fraud Examiner Certificate is a testament to his strong work ethic and we are thrilled to have him share his wealth of knowledge and experience with the rest of the Crestmark Field Exam Department. Crestmark congratulates him on earning this esteemed designation and we look forward to his continued hard work as Crestmark expands their financing products.”
