Modern Banking Group Appoints Caligor as New Chief Lending Officer

Modern Banking Group (MBG) announced that banking industry veteran, Steven Caligor, has joined our Executive Management Team as Chief Lending Officer and Executive Vice President. In this role, Caligor will lead commercial lending operations, drive growth strategies, expand relationships, and support credit and portfolio oversight. With over 30 years of experience in executive management, commercial banking, credit, and finance, Caligor brings a wealth of expertise to the team.

Prior to joining MBG, Caligor held executive leadership positions at various banks, including BHI (Bank Hapaolim), where he was Executive Vice President and Division Executive leading the bank’s national commercial real estate and healthcare divisions. In addition, he was First Senior Vice President at Bank Leumi USA, overseeing the C&I, healthcare, and equipment finance verticals. Caligor has also held various executive roles overseeing sales, credit, and portfolio management at Signature Bank, Monticello Asset Management, and Greystone and Co.

Caligor holds an MBA in Finance and Investments and BBA in Marketing, both from the George Washington University.
