Thirty up and coming corporate restructuring and distressed investing industry leaders have been selected to 2013 Turnaround Management Association Global NextGen Committee.

The TMA Global NextGen Committee provides professionals with networking and education opportunities tailored to those in the early stages of their career or new to the profession. The committee is comprised of young professional leaders from TMA chapters throughout North America. Omar Mirza, vice president, Ernst & Young Capital Advisors, LLC, New York, serves as chair of the committee and Kelly McDonald, an associate in the Business Finance & Restructuring Department of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in Dallas, is the vice chair.

Among the NextGen programming offered includes dedicated young professional networking events and education panels held locally, regionally, and at TMA Global conferences. The Committee is instrumental in developing content and events designed to provide learning, mentorship, and leadership opportunities. Additionally, the committee plays a large role in defining the Global NextGen strategy, working with state NextGen committees and in TMA membership recruitment and retention, including offering a new young professional membership discount.
