The International Factoring Association (IFA) recently announced the election of four new members to its Advisory Board. Board members serve two-year terms, shape the association’s strategy and initiatives, and help fulfill the IFA’s mission to assist the factoring community by providing information, training, purchasing power and a resource for the factoring community.
Steven Hausman of Advance Business Capital LLC was among the industry professionals elected to the advisory board.

The growth of the IFA as an organization has been remarkable”, Hausman said. “In addition to an outstanding leader in Bert Goldberg, the association has thrived from terrific leadership within the industry. Hausman is the founder and chief executive officer of Advance Business Capital LLC. Previously, he served as the vice president, national sales manager for CitiCapital Commercial Corporation with responsibilities for the asset-based loan and factoring products. Prior to its acquisition by CitiCapital, Hausman served in a similar capacity with The Associates Commercial Corporation. He also served as chief operating and credit officer for Fleet Management Inc., a large-ticket boutique leasing and asset management company. Prior to that, Hausman spent 14 years with the Volvo organization, serving as vice president of operations of Volvo Truck Finance N.A., president and general manager of WHITEGMC Trucks of Atlanta. Hausman received a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration in Finance, from the University of Michigan.

Headquartered in Pismo Beach, California and with over 415 corporate members, the International Factoring Association is the largest association of commercial finance companies in the world. Members include factoring companies, asset based lenders and other receivables finance companies.
