Rabin Worldwide, a San Francisco based company and a leader for the disposition of food manufacturing facilities, will conduct a public auction of the remaining assets at the former Dobake bakery plant in Oakland, CA.
Dobake Bakeries Inc. has been a part of Oakland's industrial manufacturing district since moving into the shuttered Mother's Cookies plant in 2006. They produced fresh and frozen products such as breads and rolls, brownies, muffins, breakfast pastries, raw dough and seasonal pastries. They also acted as a contract packager for Costco, Trader Joe's, Food Max, Grocery Outlet, Safeway and several California school districts. In 2014 Dobake made the decision to close the Oakland facility.
Among the items that Rabin Worldwide will auction is a complete cracker production line and pastry line, bread and roll equipment, 1000's of baking pans, and packaging equipment; as well as general plant items including pallet racking, forklifts, shop equipment, computers and office furniture.
