TMA New Jersey Chapter Receives Operational Excellence Award

June 10, 2015, 07:28 AM

The New Jersey Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association announced that the Chapter has been selected as the recipient of the Operational Excellence (Mid-Size Chapter) award by the Global Turnaround Management Association (TMA).  The award will be presented during the 2015 TMA Annual, taking place October 5-7 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Each year, TMA recognizes chapters that distinguish themselves by delivering excellent education, providing networking opportunities, helping their members drive business, and promoting community service.

NJTMA is focused on extending its education mission through its scholarship program, engaging the next generation of corporate renewal professionals through its networking and educational programs, and giving back to the local community. Each year the Chapter awards thousands of dollars of scholarships to graduating high school students to help defray the costs of a college education. In addition, in 2014 NJTMA held a fundraiser for the NJ Bankruptcy Lawyer’s Foundation to assist debtors and other financially distressed individuals in the state of New Jersey.

“I am honored to be selected to receive this prestigious award,” said Allen Wilen, President of the NJTMA. “It is a testament to the tireless work and strong support of our members, board of directors and volunteers.”

The Turnaround Management Association (TMA) is the only international non-profit association dedicated to corporate renewal and turnaround management. With international headquarters in Chicago, TMA has more than 9,000 members including turnaround practitioners, attorneys, accountants, investors, lenders, venture capitalists, appraisers, liquidators, executive recruiters and consultants.
