Hilco Industrial announced they will hold a two-day public auction of the manufacturing assets, finished goods, and intellectual property formerly of Soo Tractor-Sweeprake, a leading steel fabrication company and manufacturer of agricultural equipment.
The company operated two plants in Sioux City, Iowa, with more than 200,000 square feet of assembly and warehouse space. Sweeprakes, front end loaders, backhoes, corn stalk cutters, and more, were manufactured at the plants and sold under major reseller brand names such as Massey Ferguson; both plants are now closed.
The assets at auction include late model Nordson paint systems and booths, shot blast machines, wash systems, CNC fabricating equipment, heat treat, stamping, welding, tool room, material handling, rolling stock, cranes and large quantities of shop and plant support equipment. Large quantities of finished goods (loader and backhoe attachments, buckets, mounting kits, grill guards, hydraulic parts, etc.) and intellectual property (various detailed specifications, drawings, and bills of material) are also available. Real estate is available through private negotiation.
