Business Capital has secured a growth capital facility for Le Boulanger, Inc., a premier family-owned bakery and café operator, offering a wide variety of award-winning breads, pastries and gourmet coffees. In addition to retail, the company also operates successful wholesale and catering divisions. It has won numerous awards for a variety of products, including its original San Francisco sourdough.

Le Boulanger is a civic leader and employer in the community, selling at retail locations and catering throughout the Bay Area, and regularly guiding tourists and school groups through its large-scale baking and manufacturing facility. In addition, the Company bakes a broad variety of products for restaurants and food providers throughout Northern California, including colleges, airports, sports arenas, hotels, industrial foodservice caterers, delis and more.

“It was fascinating to work with this client, as I am personally a big fan of their hot Ciabatta sandwiches, but was unaware of their interesting history,” said Chuck Doyle, Managing Director of Business Capital. “Le Boulanger began baking bread nearly a century ago when the father of the current owners immigrated to America from Italy. Beginning with that first small retail store to their latest successful endeavor – Fire, Oak & Barley, a wood-fired Bistro located in Palo Alto - it has grown into much higher volume establishments while retaining that old world feel. This capital facility will allow the family to expand operations and continue providing innovative products and service to a greater customer base.”

Business Capital is a leading commercial finance and  debt restructuring firm specializing in securing customized debt based solutions for rapidly growing as well as challenged small and middle-market companies nationwide who require a unique, timely and tailored financing structure to address their particular needs, especially in situations where conventional capital sources are not an option.
